Advertising your business is an on going daily process for any home business owner, the Daily Task that should never be be missed. You work today for tomorrows results. It’s the daily habit.
There are the active, more popular ways to advertise your website/product like through Traffic Exchanges, safelists but one of the more forgotten ways is through passive advertising.
Passive advertising is the sort you do once and forget about it for a while. For example adding a comment or answering a question on a forum but not forgetting to add your signature [who you are and where you are]. Forums are a very good way to build your authority online in a specific field or niche as well a good way to increase your website traffic.
Using classified ads is another form of passive advertising. It is at the same time very much targeted advertising as well as added traffic to your website or blog. Post an ad in your specific category and it will run for a certain length of time. No need to intervene and people do still use classifieds when searching for a product they need as it is a way of homing in on exactly what they need.
There are many classified sites out there – just Google classifieds and you will find pages of them. It will take a little research first time round to find relevant ones, but if you keep a good record of the work just done, the second time around it will be a faster marketing tasks and you can of course use the same ad over and over again.
Another form of passive advertising is using Directories. Very targeted advertising that works. Again there are many of these directories around. Some are new and not well populated yet but it is still worth submitting your site. A good place to start is with Google, it’s topic and country related.
Toolbars are another great way to passively market your product and a good communication tool. Watch out for the new version of the YORGOO Media Toolbar coming this week which will have more focused tools and features allowing you to access your media from anywhere in the world.
