Advertising your business is an on going daily process for any home business owner, the Daily Task that should never be be missed. You work today for tomorrows results. It’s the daily habit.

There are the active, more popular ways to advertise your website/product like through Traffic Exchanges, safelists but one of the more forgotten ways is through passive advertising.

Passive advertising is the sort you do once and forget about it for a while. For example adding a comment or answering a question on a forum but not forgetting to add your signature [who you  are and where you are]. Forums are a very good way to build your authority online in a specific field or niche as well a good way to increase your website traffic.

Using classified ads is another form of passive advertising. It is at the same time very much targeted advertising as well as added traffic to your website or blog. Post an ad in your specific category and it will run for a certain length of time. No need to intervene and people do still use classifieds when searching for a product they need as it is a way of homing in on exactly what they need.

There are many classified sites out there – just  Google classifieds and you will find pages of them. It will take a little research first time round to find relevant ones, but if you keep a good record of the work just done, the second time around it will be a faster marketing tasks and you can of course use the same ad over and over again.

Another form of passive advertising is using Directories. Very targeted advertising that works. Again there are many of these directories around. Some are new and not well populated yet but it is still worth submitting your site. A good place to start is with Google, it’s topic and country related.

Toolbars are another great way to passively market your product and a good communication tool. Watch out for the new version of the YORGOO Media Toolbar coming this week which will have more focused tools and features allowing you to access your media from anywhere in the world.

"There are submitters and submitters" and it all really depends on what you mean by ’submitters’ and what you want them to do for you. In my experience they will ususally get you results, but sometimes not exactly what you expected.

There are many auto submitters around and many more springing up daily as new technology and ideas develop.

Here is a small list of some of the more common ones. This kind of software is tried and tested and in most cases works very well. however, as always, buyer beware! There are scammers around who just take your money and come with useless false products. Always do some research first.

Website submitters:
Thi kind of search engine submission software will blast your url all over the net -  many are free and easy to use. Automating this most necessary task frees your time and money for other profitable marketing efforts. The professional [paid] version is a ’set and forget’ technology and needs a one time set up.

Safelist submitters:
Professional safelist submitters submit your advertisements to hundreds of safelists in one go. Only drawback is you have to join safelists first and receive tons of mail in return. Depends on the terms and conditions as all are not the same. A good subject line will bring favourable results in most cases.

Blog submitters:
This submitter finds blogs that do not use the ‘no follow’ tag, find sites targetted for your niche and helps create backlinks. 

Forum Submitters:
Quickly and easily multiply your marketing efforts by establishing your presence and building authority in any number of forums targeted for your niche, creating back links and driving targetted visitors to your website or blog.

Link submitter:
submitting your website to high quality Link Directories your sites Link Popularity, Google PR and Search Engine Ranking will increase, thus will the number of visitors coming to your website and over all your online sales.

Article submitter:
semi-automatic submission to the most current list of article directories, allowing you focus on writing content, not submitting it. A good way to build traffic. 

Affiliate submitters:
setup and submit your affiliate program to affiliate directories. Affiliate directories are so powerful is that they are ranked highly in the search engines.  Whenever affiliates are looking for a program to promote, they either look in the search engine or go directly to their favorite directories.

Backlink Submitter:
Creates hundreds of backlinks to your website niche or blog. Increases your Link Popularity, Search Engine Ranking and Google Page Rank.

Socialbookmark submitter:
It is important for any website/blog to get backlinks from high authority websites with high quality traffic. This kind of submitter automatically submits all your links (one by one) to social bookmarking services at specified time intervals to make sure search engines will start indexing your websites faster and faster,

and of course there there are those ’submitters/blasters’ that are created soley for the purpose of submitting your advertisement to ‘millions’ of emails, emails generated from optins or harvested solely for this purpose. Caution is needed here. Results are varied.
Many of these are also ’resellers’ – thus any easy source of revenue for the unwary. Not all are bad, and can be used with some success to a degree.

Its a great way to keep intouch with your team mates,  get todays news, [no email required] or listen to music while you perform your daily tasks or even watch  tv from around the world [which you would need a satellite dish for in many cases]. Work an’ FUN!
