Building Free Traffic to your blog

Free Traffic is everywhere

There are many ways to drive free traffic to your blog apart from using traffic exchanges, safelists, blasters and the like.

A blog is like a web site, it does need exposure and it needs traffic: loads of it! You must actively promote your blog to build up traffic to your blog. Sending a mail to your list announcing  your new blog is a good place to start.

Here are just a few of the many tips to get readers and traffic to your blog.

1. Headlines:
Just like a website, your blog needs to provide its readers with information they want to read. Good headlines will attract visitors, the headline is the first point of contact, so spend time on that; and of course the content matters too. Publish good content on a regular basis.

2.Optimised for search engines:
Make sure your post is optimised for search engines. When you write, think of the keywords, the primary keyword should be part of the title; the secondary in the body of your post, and don't forget the anchor text, here it is best not to use more than two, more can be considered as spam. Categorise and tag your posts to get the best results.

3.Pings:
If your blog set up is correct you will allow pings. There are quite a few services out there today specifically designed to connect blogs. One of the most popular to use is Pingomatic, but there are many others like Technorati. [First you must sign up with these and add your blog] When you write and publish your post this service sends out a ping alert to say you have updated your blog and then indexes your post according to tags; hence tagging correctly is so important.

4.Directories & Feeds:
Add you blog to to directories to give greater exposure. When setting up your blog set up an RSS feed. Both blog and feed can be added to directories. There are many and varied directories out there but one of the favourites is Blogcatalog. Good places to maybe make friends, pick up a few tips and exchange links.

5.Forums:
Join some of the many Forums and use a Forum signature including a link to your Blog. Add your comments and observations to posts, be helpful to others in the forum, then they will consider you to be an expert and more likely to visit your blog. More free traffic. Of course, never spam just to get link backs, this will just get your membership deleted.

6.Blogroll:
use this to add other blogs in your niche to your blogroll. This cross linking gives you an added edge and may result in added visitors and readers.

7.Comments:
Add you comments to other blogs, make your comments useful and perhaps start a discussion. Its surprising what you can learn that way too. Once you have built a bit of traffic to your blog allow comments to build up interaction. There are various plugins out there to help you increase your comments and ways to organise them.

8.Trackbacks:
A way to link back to other blogs that allow trackbacks. A good way to build up free traffic to your blog. Its a good idea to first leave a comment on the other blog then add a trackback in your post.

These are just a few tips, however you can learn more about blogging and traffic by joining the Daily Info Calls or participating in a monthly online live seminar and workshop.

Too many Traffic Exchanges?

Surfing craze?

There is always so much going on in the traffic exchange industry. Every day you hear of a new traffic exchange popping up, some appear with a big fanfare promoted by existing owners others more quietly are just suddenly seen around. There's never a quiet moment.

Are there too many exchanges?

Sometimes when you surf you see nothing more than site after site just promoting new traffic exchanges and you begin to wonder, is there anything else out there, are there enough people around to build a viable membership in each. And, Every exchange wants you to surf them daily. Are there too many? yes I think so, it seems to be the latest craze to own one. So which should we surf daily?

If you are working with a team, then surf the ones that are part of the daily plan like in YORGOO. You can of course surf many more, time permitting. Of course, we all have our favourites too, the ones we feel more comfortable with; be it because of design, layout, the straight forward or more complex ones, or just clearer to follow [I really dislike those where you cannot make out which is the next button to click because the icon is so bad, no excuse these days with so many beautiful graphics around].

If you like playing games there are a few exchanges out there that offer a game to play every so many clicks and the opportunity to win more credits. These can be a battle of wits and often refresh the mind after a long stint of surfing. Surfing should be :) fun, a good way to keep you abreast of things going on around in the marketing world and of course a great way to build traffic to your site.

Too many exchanges? Choose the ones you benefit from most and enjoy, you could never surf them all. The good exchanges will grow, will still be there in a few years time, the ones where owners invest time, effort, ingenuity and money (TH) and not just there to try to make a fast buck. For me, thats just money wasted and it doesnt work.

Are you ready for YORGOO?

YORGOO

Maybe you are, maybe you are not.

You see, YORGOO is a generic downline builder with a purpose - to help you build your home business. At first glance as you scroll through YORGOO it may look like such a nightmare, so much in there, so much to do, how does it all work,….forget it! its not for me. That is the reaction of quite a few when they first look through. Quite a normal reaction. Then they read some mails from Admin, listen to some calls and decide, no not for me, I'll do it my way, and put YORGOO on the shelf for another day.

Its all a matter of timing!

If you are not ready for YORGOO, then you are not ready.

BUT, if you are, then get in touch with your  sponsor, or a  YORGOO trainer  like Alejandra Neri (Alex) and be guided through, step by step. Its much easier that way and you can get all your questions answered too.  Of course there is also the TUTORIAL on the menu  in YORGOO that will be your guide. Just take the time to read, listen, and watch the trainings. You will be glad you did.

And then of course join the daily contest, and put a bit of icing on your cake! :)

Just see what Carol West from S.A. has to say about YORGOO:

Carol West S.A."Hi Zo,

It's a long time since we had any contact.

Do you know that I only realized recently why I should promote only my Yorgoo site. I always wanted to promote Yorgoo and my primary business.

Tonight I am kicking myself. I listened to Yorgoo again last night and he confirmed my "revelation." If people sign up with Yorgoo they are "generic leads, but if they sign up with my primary business I can't ethically sell them anything else.

I can't believe the time I've wasted. Anyway, I guess it's never too late……"   Carol West

As with all things in life, sometime we are just not ready to see what we really have in our hands. Its all part of that big learning curve of life.

Build Your Traffic, Build your network

Build Your Traffic, Build your network

Traffic , Traffic, Traffic, that's THE BLOOD OF ONLINE BUSINESS.

Why use YORGOO to build that traffic?

First and foremost YORGOO is INDEPENDENT and its an ads free network!
No paid advertising, no flashing 3rd part banners. Its YOUR list builder; it belongs to its members.

YORGOO has two building systems incorporated:

1. A powerline system, where all subscribers are part of, and

2. A unilevel Network Builder, where the YORGOO Pros build their own, personal Network by adding their new referrals to their personal team.

The free YORGOO version is a high performance traffic builder, the PRO version is clearly a list, traffic and network builder. The purpose of YORGOO pro is network and list building, you have the possibility to communicate with your direct team using the integrated mailer or the phone numbers as made available to our Pros.

Since January 2005 the YORGOO daily mantra has been 'build your traffic, build your network, communicate'!

This is no new concept but definitely a forgotten one by many. Today I saw this comment by Jon Olson:

"….Every Wednesday evening, a bunch of us gather in the SWAT Traffic training room and chit chat about all things related to building a business online and traffic exchanges. Last night was one of the more active nights in recent memory and it was a great seminar. However, one of the most important points that I think I fail to get across in the events is the importance of growing your network.

Your network is the key!

I hope I can really pound this message home because with out my network, there’s a very good chance I would still be flipping pizzas for a living and dreaming about working online, not doing it. Why is your network so important? Simple, because they become your allies in this crazy world of internet business.

They will help you launch new products, they will offer advice and input on anything you plan to do, you can get feedback from your circle of friends, and best of all you can grow together. So how do ‘grow’ your network…."
Source: Jon Olson - Hit Exchange News

Yes Jon the key to success is: build your traffic and build a generic network - whether with YORGOO or any other list builder and have then the possibility to promote your business throughout your network while building your traffic.
