Surfing for credits

CreditsLittle or no result from your surfing?

Traffic exchange users click for credits and exposure. To place their promotional page infront of as many new eyeballs as possible.

The reason you may not be getting the results you want could with your promotional page may be not the business that you promote, but the way you promote your business.

Take a closer look at the page you are promoting?

Is you page attractive -  would you want to stop and read further?

Does your page stand out from the crowd?
or is long, dull and boring?

Here are some points to be aware of when submitting your site to a traffic exchange:

1. Does your site/page open fast? giving the reader enough time to make a quick judgement whether to stay or move on.

Submitting a page/site that takes 7 or 8 seconds or more to open when the timer runs out at 10 will definitely not bring in many results. The timer doesn't hang about for slow loading pages.

2. Is the site/page easy to read? - can the text be clearly seen to be read. Black on white is the easiest text to read. Use contrasting colours for text and background.

3. Does it have a catchy/strong headline or colourful graphic? Surfers are surfing for credits, will they be distracted enough to take a closer look.

4. Does your page have a call to action? perhaps a simple click here.

5. Does it have an easy optIn page? Can this be done done quickly without too much fuss?

6. Is your splash page/site search engine friendly? Search engines cannot read fancy graphics nor flash animations.

Use a tracking system and split test your pages, see which gets the best results.

A good free tracking system one can use for this purpose is Google Analytics, which wil privide you with lots of interesting data to help you with your marketing efforts and conversions.

Surfing can be fun as well as profitable.
